Pooling the FFMQ data from 3 Spanish samples (n = 1191), we estimated the fit of two competing models (correlated five-factor vs. bifactor) via confirmatory factor analysis The FFMQ correlates positively with openness to experience, emotional intelligence, and negatively with psychological distress 8. Previous research has indicated that the FFMQ is sensitive to differences between practicing mindfulness and non-practicing 14,15 , and are directly related to improvements in symptomatology after a mindfulness-based therapy 16 . The five facets are: observing, describing, acting with awareness, non-judging of inner experience , and non-reactivity to inner experience. Description The FFMQ is the most widely used trait mindfulness questionnaire, arguably because it conceptualises mindfulness in terms of several components or facets. Its five-facet structure emerged from research that pooled five independently developed mindfulness questionnaires. Hundreds of responses were analysed statistically (using Factor Analysis) to determine which items cluster as the FFMQ in clinical samples. Each of the 39 items of the FFMQ is measured using a 5-point Likert scale ranging from 1 (never or very rarely true )to5(very often or always true ).
The Total FFMQ can be divided by 39 to get an average item score.

(2016). Scoring the Five-Facet Mindfulness Scale. As its name implies, the FFMS measures five different aspects of mindfulness. In order to determine your score, calculate the following subtotals:
· Reverse scoring: where we score the items backward. For example, 1 adds a score of 5, 5 adds a score of 1, 4 would mean a score of 3, and likewise. In another simple way the 39 items of the FFMQ are rated on a 5-point Likert scale, ranging from 1 (never or very rarely true) to 5 (very often or always true).

The objective of the present study was to examine the dimensionality, reliability, and construct validity of the Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ) in three Spanish samples using structural equation modeling (SEM). Pooling the FFMQ data from 3 Spanish samples (n = 1191), we estimated the fit of two competing models (correlated five-factor vs. bifactor) via confirmatory factor analysis.
Product-moment correlations between simple-summated scoring and IRT scoring of the scales were 0.97 or higher. The FFMQ accurately identifies varying levels of trait mindfulness.

Because there was not yet a short-form version of the FFMQ (SF-FFMQ) that could be utilized in work settings available in China, we developed a Chinese SF-FFMQ.
Research into the effectiveness and mechanisms of mindfulness-based interventions (MBIs) requires reliable and valid measures of mindfulness. The 39-item Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ-39) is a measure of mindfulness commonly used to assess change before and after MBIs. However, the stability and invariance of the FFMQ factor structure have not yet been tested before and after an

Previous research on assessment of mindfulness by self-report suggests that it may include five component skills: observing, describing, acting with awareness, nonjudging of inner experience Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire This instrument is based on a factor analytic study of five independently developed mindfulness questionnaires.
